Changes in this release are:

  • Restructured the version information to include new collaborators helping in the discussions about AgileEA.
  • Added some text to the 'Establish a Taxonomy' Task.
  • Added a Strategy Roadmap (for Business Strategy, Information Systems Strategy and IT Strategy)
  • Added a set of EA Maturity Roadmaps but completed only one
  • Added a Strategy Maturity Concept guideline
  • Added these to the Roadmap section.

An old but great View of EA Print E-mail

In recent discussion I remembered an old diagram we used to use as our Method Framework in 1994-95. It is simple and excellent at combining the Zachman Concepts (and adds one) to the TOGAF concepts but is broader in that it also covers business more effectively, seeing Business as a whole.

EA Strategy Maturity Print E-mail

In thinking about EA Strategy and how one would measure its level of maturity I used a Capability Maturity Model concept to derive an equivalent for Strategy, with an explanation as to how we could measure Strategy Maturity. Anything from an IT Strategy to a full Enterprise wide Strategy.

Thinking through EA Modelling Print E-mail

After attending an interesting Seminar by Troux in London last week, I was interested in a talk on Modelling. It gave me some insights into the use of Models and what is actually meant by a Model. This then made me think about the implementation of an EA Application or Decision Support System I'd like to see.
