We started AgileEA because of a lack of good robust open Enterprise Architecture process available in the Open Source community.  The nearest good process is the TOGAF one. TOGAF stands for "The Open Group Architectural Framework".

The AgileEA process inherits some of the more recent concepts from modern Object Oriented software developement environment such as Agile, Scrum, Unified Modelling Language, Sys-ML, Service Oriented Architecture governance, VPEC-T, PIP, Eclipse Process Framework, with all the concepts of Adaptive and Continuous Integration and improvement, etc.
